How often do you wear your Rolex?

I'm a watch addict. I'm also a perfectionist. Scratches and dings bug me. It is impossible not to bump your wrist during our busy lifestyles. So I keep my favorite Rolex tucked away for special occasions. When I put it on it is always perfect. No scratches or dings. Fortunately I have a fair number of special occasions so it gets used monthly.

I own a number of other (non-Rolex) watches that I alternate and maintain at the local watchmaker. He loves my business because I keep the other watches polished and replace crystals as needed. Taking three watches in tomorrow for the usual repairs.

My last two Rolex watches went to the AD for service multiple times for scratches before I sold them and purchased a new gold 116233.

Am I alone or are there others that feel the same way?

Thanks!

Every day! But I've got several options for "beaters" to wear for things I would prefer to keep it away from.

I wear them daily, no point having one and babying it in my opinion, life’s too short.

I wear my Rolex and Tudor watches in all scenarios, from showering to working on my house to yard work to rock climbing to going to dinner. I only take it off to sleep, simply because I sleep with my hand under a pillow and it bothers me a bit.

The only day I want my watch to look new is the day I receive it.

Every single day and I rotate based on how I feel that day or activity. A Rolex can take anything you throw at it and if it can’t then that’s what the RSC is for.

If you're awesome enough, even your beat up old watch could be worth a lot of money some day. I wouldn't worry about it.

I have no idea if you're alone or not, but I know quite a few of us just wear the watches we own and want to wear. Good lord, I didn't spend this amount of money to wear it monthly.

I wear my platinum Daytona everyday and don't care about scratches. Must be the way my brain is wired but I don't care about the small stuff.

I am a perfectionist in having our house just so, the paintings hung at the right height, outlet covers being straight, that sort of thing. But dings on my watch and car, not so much.

I wear them daily and in rotation. I remove them during the day if performing surgeries and at night before sleeping.

I like to see scratched up watches. It gives the impression that the owner really likes it, has owned it a long time, and wears it every day.
I wear mine daily, all day. Although I am careful, they do pick up small scratches. I wouldn’t dream of taking them in to get polished.

I'm very similar to you in this regard. I love order in my house, but I'll park a Porsche on a street downtown, take it snowboarding, etc., and I don't worry about my watch at all. Do you happen to also spend too much time on forums dedicated to technical/mechanical things, like watches, cars, cameras, etc???

Its a Rolex, you do realise that it will most likely outlive even yourself? Don't baby it, wear it let it get marked up, each ding/dent will have a story to tell when you pass it down!

I’ve been beating a Rolex up daily for 7 years now, mostly my 16610. Vacations, steam rooms, gym, golf, pools etc etc

I sport my Platinum YM every single day, and have for the last 4 years. Scratches are just a part of it. You always have the option to swap in a different band to save yours if you like. I had a hard time shelling out $250 for a piece of rubber, but I believe that's what Santa is bringing me. The look of the black Rubberb VulChromatic, red devil band on the Platinum YM is amazing!

Once or twice a week. During the workweek the AP 15202 and PP 5167 are my go-to pieces.

I paid way too much for my Daytona to wear it once a month. I wear it every day, except, for instance, when I am swapping on my winter wheels (today).

OP, I wouldn't want to be you, but I might like to buy a watch from you.

I wear them daily so that I can enjoy having them, usually in weekly rotation. I wear and old Del Mar Chrono when I do yardwork, etc.
