This is a great thread.

One question: assuming the insert is authentic, a quick look at the back will determine whether it fits a 16710(sapphire) or a 16750 (acrylic), right?

You are correct. The differences between the back sides of the acrylic and sapphire inserts are different and pictured in this thread. If you look at my very first post, the first three photos depict the differences in the back sides between the acrylic and sapphire inserts.

I'm sad to be correct! I bought this insert under the seller's description that it was for a 16710. Based on your information, it appears that it was misrepresented and won't fit my watch.

Live and learn. Now I need to buy the watch that matches it!

Hey guys can anyone tell me what would be the correct bezel/insert for a 16750 year 1982? Thanks in advance!
