Rose Gold yacht master 116655

For those of you who own, have owned or have seen a RG YM, I am interested in your thoughts about the watch. How it wears, comfort, etc. I have not seen one in person but am considering buying one. From videos and pictures, it seems to have a beautiful finish and many reviews says it’s a comfy watch..

I have several other watches which I consider to be very comfortable and daily wearers, So I'd be grateful for your views and comments about how it wears and what attracted you to this watch.

Cheers,
MM

Hi Michael
It's stunning and really comfy
Quite under the radar also for a PM piece so an easier daily wearer IMO

Thanks James! And yes, I am hoping the oyster flex and black bezel allows it to be a little less “flashy”.

It’s very comfortable. I often golf with it. It’s not flashy, but it does receive a lot of attention. I think it’s because the rose gold is surrounded by the black bezel and the black of the OF, the rose gold really pops. It’s definitely one of my favorite watches. For the record, mine is a 126655.

It's what Phil Mickelson is wearing on tour nowadays.... he's one of the few pro golfers to wear a watch whilst playing. Great looking watch and clearly one you don't need to take off.

Nice watch, but perhaps worth considering the 42mm white gold version. To my eyes, better looking and more restrained with not a trace of flash. Just a more subtle and refined model.
This is, of course, highly subjective!

Love that watch! Been comfy every time I’ve given it a whirl. But alas it looks a little off with my super white skin tone. Gold is a tough one for me to pull off

It is really nice and very comfortable. If you don’t get it from AD it might be difficult to get proper oyster flex sizing. I liked how it was pretty low key especially for a gold watch. I think it is a watch you need to own in part of a larger collection given no bracelet

I love that watch. I don’t have one but I recently saw someone wearing it in a restaurant. It’s quite a statement piece (IMO).

Why anyone would prefer a Patek Phillipe Aquanaut is beyond me.

I’m partial but this watch is phenomenal. Looks to kill. Super comfortable. A PM piece but it flies under the radar a bit. The bezel is a piece of art in and of itself. Love the simple matte dial with the large lume plots. It’s really, really well done. The glidelock clasp is $$. Don’t think you’d regret it for a second. FWIW, mine is also a 126655.

I have the 126655 (newer version of the one you ask about) - the improved movement and glidelock make this is significant upgrade in my opinion.

No doubt it’s a beautiful watch probably the best OF watch combo.

Thank you to all of the feedback. I love the sound of a glide lock clasp on an oyster. And thanks for all the pics, they are stunning.

I owned this for a time. It is a beautiful watch. The gold and matte face go great together. The watch has some weight to it so you know it isn't ss but the oysterflex offsets it perfectly.

I didn’t know that. Now I can say that I have one thing in common when it comes to Phil and golf.

I have one, and love the way the matte strap, dial, and bezel contrast with the very, very shiny gold. It's very under the radar, yet somehow not under the radar at the same time.

Just my .02 I thought it wore pretty small and I don't have large wrists. Otherwise a gorgeous watch. Prefer the Daytona on OF.

its really nice - seen several. However I never can pull the trigger on it. Seems like a regular sub on a rubber b would be nicer. Or... a bluesy.

If you have the means, I would highly recommend the 126655 due to the new GlideLock clasp and updated movement. The new clasp allows for fine tuning of fitment that wasn’t available on the previous generation.

I’ve owned my 126655 since January this year and I adore it. It was my first PM reference and it fits and wears very well. The polished raised numbers/markers on the bezel look amazing against the matte surrounds. It also pairs very nicely with the matte black dial along with the red YM line. The polished markers on the bezel play with the lighting in a room, so it can draw attention at times. I get the most compliments on this timepiece followed by my SkyD.

I honestly think this is the ONLY gold Rolex that you should buy the Rose gold and not the white gold version. The black bezel and strap means it's very wearable, practical and not too flashy. The white gold iteration, to me, almost looks like a normal Sub on Oysterflex

It's my wife's favorite watch. It's so comfortable she never takes it off. I have the WG YM on OF and that one is amazing and comfortable as well.

Having owned both for long periods, I can assure you that the 42mm Yachtmaster in white gold doesn’t feel or look like a Sub. It’s far slimmer for a start. And more elegant too.
But then, if you choose, you can regard every black bezel Rolex as a clone of the Sub. They’re all ‘dive’ designs in one way or another. For me, the issue with the rose gold Yachtmaster is the ‘bling’ element. It has that ‘look at me’ quality which suits some people, and not others. Plenty of choice for every buyer. That’s the joy of Rolex.
