Rolex Ref: 1055 help.

Am I correct that the first DD 6511 had a 1055 movement and after one year the DD 6611 also had a 1055 but with an improved balance wheel?

Is this a real 1055 and if so is this the old or new one?

yes that would be correct. The latter is the 1055 with microstella balance aka 1055b. This was also the first Day Date to be marked 'Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified'. The first iteration of the 1055 was not that precise and the change of day / date took to much energy. I can't see your pic however.
