Just got my birth year 16800 today
I don't know if everyone would consider a 1984 16800 "vintage," but it is to me. I had an A-series 16710, but this is my first venture into vintage Rolex. It is cool to have a Sub that is as old as you are and has obviously been worn and loved by someone else. I am super excited about getting my hands on it. 1680 next?

Sorry for the bad photo. The older iPhone camera quality is less than stellar under less than ideal lighting.

Congrats ! I cannot have a birth year watch as I am quite old, but still my oldest is a 5513.

Thanks guys. I figured I better jump on it now while they're "cheap." Cheap being relative...

I think having things that are your birth year is cool! I think my next Rolex purchase will be that (1968) but I have no idea what.
