New Watch, new pics....

...got a new beater today, it is a Seiko Black Knight. I really like this thing and it fills a bracelet watch void that selling my Monster to John and the whole YM/Andie thing.

Here are a few quick pics, I love the dial, it has a waffle pattern on the middle that looks great. The lume is just like the monster too. It is also 42mm, the same as the BM.

I realised after I took the pics that the date was wrong, LOL!

Crappy wrist shot, maybe I should start drinking again to steady my hands.

Some boring ones....

Just got it to be a pool beater. I like the heft and durability of these Seikos, you know all about how tough they are. And you don't see many around.

I like that a lot!
Honestly, I like that knight and the samurai more than I like the monster.

That "cobble stone" dial is a beauty! Congrats on your latest acquisition, Daren.

Nice one Daren. Hey, if I knew you wanted a Seiko on a bracelet, I could have sold you a black monster I have sitting around here, good price too!

Very nice pick up, D. Looks like a great beater. And the red tip gives it a nice bit of oomph, as does the waffle pattern. Wear it well and enjoy it (at least until you flip if for something new ).

Just do not why people call them beaters, they are fine watches, and great value for money.Love the dial and agree with Chip about the Monster They are all great watches, but beaters they are certainly not.Now if the word Rolex was on the dial, would it still be a beater. And yes they cost less than Rolex, and not so accurate, but thats about it, a great watch Daren.

I think of a beater as one that doesn't bother me if it gets scratches or dings. I would not wear a more expensive watch to do yard work or car work, not that I do either of those things, I am lazy by trade.

I am not trying to downgrade the watch, I wouldn't have bought it if that was the case.

I know what you mean Daren prefer to call them working watches.
