Talk me out of buying a used white dial Panerai

I own a 372 Plexi and am looking for something to balance that.

The two under consideration are:

PAM654: PCYC flyback Chrono 44mm
- dislike the silly PCYC text & caseback of a boat
- love the Chrono feature, dot dial, complication, white face
- compliments the simple 372 nicely. Very different watches.
- can I replace the caseback with sapphire crystal? At this price point I'm OK to mod the watch.

PAM791: radiomir art deco white face 47mm
- dislike same movement as the 372 Basically buying different dial and case only
- love the off white dial and simple feel...but........next point gives me doubt:
- fear it is too similar to 372. Only hours and minutes
- I know I can rock a 47mm PAM easily
- previously owned a 425 radiomir SLC .... Am I just going in circles?

I have problems with both. Should I just wait for something else? I'm answering my own question as I write this but happy to throw myself to the wolves and get some thoughts.

Sorry--can't do that... I love the white dialed Panerai's. I'd stick with the PAM 654. A 47mm watch might be OK now but could seem "dated" in the future. Just my opinion.

No one can tell you anything about white dialed Pams that you don't already know, so in the end it's all personal taste.

Of those two I prefer the 791 but I can't help but think it should have wire lugs. I think that would suit the vintage vibe better.

I see where you’re coming from, but a 47 IS Panerai and will never be out of fashion to a Panerista. To the general fashion police, maybe. The question is, do you care?

Between those two, 654 no doubt. Very nice and a good duo with the 372.

I've a 654 and I love it. IMO very classy and a great complement to the 372. The latter for classic PAM and the 654 for contemporary.

225 looks like a beast!
518 is nice but Platinum so a little out of my range. That would be a killer piece.

ASW: that's gorgeous. I really like the shades of white and the contrast with the gold hands.

I've always wanted a 188 in the rotation!

I not only can’t talk you out of it but you pushed me over the edge and I bought a 654 today. I thought I was done with Panerai but that white dial is pretty damn sexy
