Getting watch mailed from eu to us
I was looking to buy a watch from the eu. What is the process of getting it mailed. Does it get held, how does the tax work?

Stating where you are would get more meaningful replies.

In my experience (twice now) the watch is delivered and several weeks later a bill from the shipper (courier in my case) appears asking for the duty to be paid.

My experience from London and Europe were through Fed Ex and DHL were that I was notified by the delivery company by email when the watch was in the US what the tax was.
I paid it and it was delivered the next day. On around $5000 is was around $180. tax. |
