Rolex power reserves very much reliable

Never tried to find out the actual power reserves of my watches but this week I did a test with my 116520 and Milgauss. The 116520 was manually worn 60 turns while the Milgauss 40 turns, then both were left face up on the table. Results: the Daytona stoped after 72h 45' while the Milgauss at 47h 20'. Very impressive almost as what described in Rolex catalogue.

Just did another test with my 5513: 40 full turn manually worn, then left face up on the table. The watch stopped after 43h60'. Impressive for a 42 years old movement.

Funny you mention that. I have not timed it but my 16750 actually has the most consistent power reserve and it is a 38 year old movement. My newer ones aren’t bad but the power reserve seems shorter or less consistent.

Beautiful watch btw.

Lucky you, my wife's newer DJ 31 is back at RSC, it would often stop the following morning after being worn all day. So far am 0 for 1 on buying a new Rolex.

Apologies if a stupid question, but i timed mine the other day its a July 2020 Sub 116613LB, i wound 40 times, wore for 2 days, took off then left face up and it stopped around 27 hours later, so my question is should the reserve be from when left to rest or does the 2 days i wore it reduce the reserve time of 48 hours? I'm assuming the latter.

To accurately time the watch you should not wear after you have manually wound it. If you wear the watch gets wound from your wrist movement but whether it could get fully wound or not would depend on the extent or intensity of your wrist movement.

The 116613 has 48h power reserve so after you wound it 40 turns in theory it could run for 2 days. Your watch stopped 27h later after you put it off so I suppose it got only 27h power reserve from your wrist movement during the 2 days you wore it.

Thanks, it’s not really an issue as I normally wear every day but I will test one day leaving static after winding
