Lusting for a Rolex

In the past I owned 2 OPs at separate times. It was my prized possession but I knew I would not have it forever. Almost a year ago I sold it to pay for an engagement ring and I have no regrets.

Fast forward and I can’t get Rolex off my mind. If things go well I might have one in the next 18 months but nothing is ever guaranteed. I’d love a Bluesy because it was the first Rolex that I was enamored with. The Rootbeer also catches my attention because of how subtle and warm it is. I love rose gold! I’ve also fancied a SS/RG DJ and ND Sub. No matter what I end up with, I can’t wait to walk out of the AD with it on my wrist knowing I truly earned it.

I attended an AD event last night. I was told Bluesy is one of the watches they can get.

I’d truly love a Bluesy as my next Rolex but due to price I feel like the ND or DJ is more likely

Nice, please post when you have the good fortune to pick one up again. You have good taste with your prior OP. Great watch.

Did you fall for the "two months salary" scam?

SS Submariner is the one. Lifetime watch should you choose.

I have to agree. Hard to justify the upcharge when the traditional SS models are so super.

Best of luck to you. I’m sure you will have one on your wrist sooner than you think and truly enjoy it.

I had a brand new bluesy for a few weeks. Amazing watch. I sold it to take the heat off my meteorite gmt purchase.

To be honest, I was supposed to be buying a Tudor or Omega instead but it was truly a coincidence that I ended up with my first OP. That said, I recently took on a new job that is a big step for me and I feel quite confident that I will be in the market once the wedding is over and we get a project with the house out of the way

Correct - easy to sell, hard to replace
High chance of sellers remorse
