16758 root beer non nipple
Hello all I’m looking to buy a 16758 root beer non nipple dial from 1982. If the dial is a white gold surrounds dial and not a nipple dial, does that signify that it is a replacement dial and not original to the watch ?

I’ve never heard of a white gold lume plot dial for a 16758 full yellow gold watch.
I would expect either brown/black yel gold nipple or brown/black yel gold lume plot or serti dial.

If the watch is from 1982 the dial pictured is a service dial. These would've had nipple dials until the mid to late 80's.

I may be mistaken, but the 16758s came both with nipple dials (earlier) and white gold hour markers (later). The 1675/8 only came with nipple.
Also the 16758 came with flat/matte brown or sunray brown dials. The 1675/8 only came with flat/matte brown. The dial in the pic above is "SWISS MADE" (from 1999-2000) so it is certainly a service dial if the watch is a 16758, no matter the year. |

It's a post 2001 Luminova SWISS MADE dial, not a 1999/2000 SWISS service dial OP. Luminova service handset too.

A 16758 is not a Gmt Master II.

I think it should have the nipple dial until about 1984 or so. Then it does change to one with larger lume plots still with yellow gold surrounds. There are also nipple service dials with luminova, they say SWISS at 6:00.
