Surprise
A few years ago a friend (knowing that I liked watches) gave me an "old" watch that her late husband (also a close friend) had been fond of. It was a Hamilton and I didn't know how to research it easily, so I put it into a box and didn't think about it much for quite some time. Last Friday I got the watch running and wore it to dinner. Two days later I found a watch being auctioned by Heritage that looked like mine. It appears I am the owner of a Hamilton Piping Rock watch made in the late 1920s or early 1930s that is well thought of by collectors and American watch aficionados. It appears to be in beautiful condition, but I am having trouble uploading a photo (being told the file is too large). Does anyone have thoughts on this intriguing piece?
