Only the one - Louis Vuitton

I have one fountain pen. Just one. I wish I could use it, but I honestly think the world is not ready for my handwritting combined with a fountain pen.

Hope you like the pics;

It comes with a booklet

"You are now the proud owner of a Louis Vuitton Jet pen. As time goes by, you will become accustomed to the many little details which make it unique. You will come to apprecite the comfort of writing with it and the balanace of its proportions.
Gradually, as your hand adjusts to this beautiful new pen, you will think of it more than just a writing instrument; it will become a constant companion, in the grand Louis Vuitton style of travel. Now it is up to you to personalise it with your very own handwriting and this will make it an even more precisious possession."

There's more...

"Since 1854 Louis Vuitton had the talent for uniting in all its creations the refinement, the innovation and the quality inherent in its brand image.
Always looking for the exceptional products for those who appreciate beautiful items, Louis Vuitton has often collaborated with famous designers. In keeping with this long-standing tradition, the Jet pen collection was designed by Anouska Hempel, as Louis Vuitton Doc and Cargo pens.
Its pure and long lines give this pen a unique allure, very graphic, and enrich with originality Louis Vuitton's writing universe."

And more...

"Designed in precious materials, the collection of Jet pens bears the stamp of Louis Vuitton expertise.
Louis Vuitton has selected a lacquer with intense shimmers and a bright aspect. The remarkable transparency and deepness of the material are sublimated by the subtle colour atmosphere.
The decoration is inspired by the Louis Vuitton Damier canvas. Engraved in the lacquer's depth or in relief in a line of metallic squares, the Damier motif signs with distinction the Jet pens.
Our high standards of quality are reflected in the delicate work of the finishes. The cap ring is decorated with the refined 'Louis Vuitton' engraving, and the House's stamp. The fountain pens have an 18 karat gold nib highlighted with three Damiers."

Pretension highlights for me?
"in the grand Louis Vuitton style of travel", "enrich with originality Louis Vuitton's writing universe", and "sublimated".

I also remember reading a card about it saying the design was inspired by the Zeppelins of the early 20th Century.

And while it's often my style to shoot with a wide aparture, this time I mostly did it cause it was dark.

Nice post. I have the exact model only in a rollerball. Actually, it is my only non-fountain. All my FP are vintage MBs.

What a great looking pen...ink it and use it so you can enjoy it. You will never go back to just a super cheap ballpoint pen!!!

I just don't use pens enough these days....I'll pop a cartridge (although it comes with a manual ink squeeze refillable) to write something - the next time I use it the ink will have dried and I'd need to soak the nib...

Plus, those LV ink cartridges are just too pretty to puncture :D

I like LV stuff but my heart is stuck on MontBlanc for fountain pens.

Thanks for sharing your experience

Welcome to the Forum...may I suggest that you Google the company brand and item(s)to see what you can find. Or do you have one of their stores in your area so you can go there and check them out in person???

I didn't know LV made fountain pens. I'm a big fan of MB's, but I'm always on the lookout for other brands. While I love fountain pens, I do a lot of contract work and a ball point in black ink is required for most documents. If I use a rollerball, it has to be in black and that's pushing it as far as our corporate office sees it. So alas, the fountains are used mostly for signature work only.

Quite a nice fountain pen, it's unfortunate you don't use it!

Do at least dip the nib in ink and see how it writes. Would be a waste to not at least know what you are missing

I bought one recently and must say: after a good cleaning it writes like a beauty. just a bit more "soft" then my MB. Use it now in the office... the guys are more into it than the girls :)
