water resistance testing
So I have sent my watches off for basic servicing in the 5 year interval which includes a water/pressure test. My issue is that I cannot find anyone locally that could change gaskets and test the watches yearly. Do you guys have a local connection for this or forced to snail mail watches off for this yearly service. Also, is this truly a yearly requirement?

Most any watchmaker can do an annual pressure test although it is hardly necessary unless you dive with one.
Nobody needs to change seals and gaskets annually as that entails disassembling the watch, however, most any watchmaker with a parts account can do the job? Most metropolitan area, and several Forum watchmakers, are easy to connect with..

This is not neccessary every year. I snorkel and scuba all the time and usually do services on about an eight year interval at the most. Never flooded one yet.
