might be dirt in the insetting on one of the pivots. Could be a worn pivot or adjusted with old crusty oil on the jewels

I'm thinking dry pallets which results in an extremely high amplitude. I fixed an Oyster Perpetual under warranty just last week with pretty much the exact same problem.
I cleaned the pallet fork and gave it some good lubrication and swapped the mainspring + barrel. |

Thanks for the inputs. swapping mainspring and barrel, meaning cleaning it or putting new ones?

Always best to have new mainspring anyway :) Also could be lack of breaking grease inside barrel. Check the numbers half wound and see how it’s running. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk

And buy some Rl2 pallet grease, I'm quite certain that a dry escapement is the biggest problem here.

If you can’t get rl2, moebius 9415 will work perfectly as well. Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
