the starwalker is cool. I have a rubberised starwalker fineliner with a rollerball standby. the fineliner suits me fine as i draw a lot with it.

I don't care for MB pens. I think them the Cadillac Seville of the 70s. If you knew what crap they were, you wouldn't buy one. Respectful regards to all that disagree.

I have a few thousand in nice pens. The only ones I love right out of the box are the made by ST Dupont. That said, remember, we regulate watches and you also have to "regulate" pens -- adjust nibs. I live close to a nice pen shop, they have turned a scratchy, skipping brand new $400 piece of crap into a pleasure to use. Whatever you buy, don't be discouraged if you don't like the performance - adjust or change out the nib.

Edit: Two other points. 1) Rollerballs should be purchased by the style one appreciates. The pen is the case in this instance, not the pen like a "fountain pen." They are all the same in my view. 2) Not enamored by Parker either.

I have a Mount Blanc Roller-ball pen I got about 10 years ago. My father has 3 of them (the pen, mechanical pencil, and fountain pen meisterstuck set), in which he gave to me a few months ago. Those are about 25 years old. SUPER pens. I've gone through about 3 refills in mine, it's been dropped God knows how many times, she just keeps on going.

Yes, I've had a Meisterstuck Ballpoint pen for over 20 years. I've dropped it, cracked it and generally used it every day except when it had to go the Mont Blanc spa.......

I have a half-dozen or so more Montblanc's, but the Writers' Series are the most fun to collect. The boxes they come in resemble books and would look really cool displayed on a shelf.

I had to get about five of them off e-bay, but the rest came from a great stationery store/Montblanc boutique here in Houston.

I like Pelikan pens but feel that Mont Blanc is in the same excellent league. Fine pens are like fine watches. Cheap ones do the job but don't give you the satisfaction of ownership or the joy of using a precision instrument.

Mont Blanc now has their name on a line of watches as well. Has anyone seen one of these?

I've always wanted a MB and I finally got one from an online vendor. It's a rollerball, Classic black and gold. Still use Pilot G2 07's for daily use.
Seems fine writing instruments and watches go well together.

Only have a Waterman, still want a Mont Blanc tho, but can't really justify a $200 (and up) pen for myself, since I will hardly use it.

Love to get Meisterstuck, however since I am lefty, fountain pens are less than ideal.
