Help identifying this Sub Dial
I know it's a Submariner black dial. It has the # 121 1122 on the back. Can you tell by the face and the # on the back what model/year this is from? The closest I could find is from a 90's model 16800 or 16610. Thoughts?
Any idea of value? Thanks!

Based on appearance (I don't know the back codes) I'd say 16800/168000 or maybe early 16610, but I'm leaning towards the "double zero" or "triple zero".
Curious to see what those smarter than me say, as I'm not "up" on the transitional models. But that's what I immediately think when I see the dial. |

Although the 16800, 168000, and 16610 dials are interchangeable, the mounting "feet" are every-so-slightly longer on the 16800 & 168000 dials for the older 3035 movement. I think these are the longer feet in the photo but maybe one of our resident watchmakers can say for certain.

hmmm it's true. Measured the dial feet from a 16800 dial they're 0.96mm. Measured the feet on a 16610 dial and they're 0.94mm. Nice!
The dial shows signs of being repainted. Hurts the value quite a bit. |
