Even though the diameter is only a 2 mm difference, the thickness of the GMT brings it closer to the camera which can slightly exaggerate the size in the photo. Keep in mind however the lug width (22 vs 20) and lug-to-lug dimension (50 vs 48) is larger in the GMT.

I looked at a 58 at my AD and to my eyes it looks significantly smaller than my GMT in every way. Diameter only tells part of the story.

I really like them both, but the blue with the blue dial is KILLER (to me) in person. It's just really fun...

Very good points! Thanks for the follow-up.

I’m nuts about this watch! Mostly rock it on bracelet, but the Tudor OEM strap and a variety of NATOs work for me as well. It’s my go-to travel watch these days.

I sold the one I originally got in March 2019 and immediately regretted it. Started looking for it again in June of last year and didn’t find one until Labor Day. At one point, I was in something like ten-twelve ADs across five states over a three-week period without any luck.

Knock on wood, neither of mine has experienced the date issue. I hope you get yours back on the wrist soon, Mike!

I had ruled it out and went looking for a BB 58 early last year, they happen to have GMT in stock. Needless to say, it now monopolizes my daily wearing - trumping a rolex sub, Pepsi GMT and explorer (all 5 digits).
Ah man you talked me into it! Going to see if I can luck out and find one to try on

Going later today to check out the blue bay, but so far I would pick the GMT over it especially for the added functions.

I agree with this. BB GMT was too bulky and thick. and I own an SD43! Proportions just didn't work for me. Also think that all tudors wear better on strap than bracelet.

Bb58 much better proportioned (Have it on bracelet), such a joy to wear. Reminds me that fit/sizing is more important than many other watch attributes. Full disclosure have a bb58 and eta maroon BB, 6.75 inch wrist.

GMT looks better. BB58 feels better.

The GMT is the better watch by far, never get bored looking at it, it is simply a VERY beautiful interesting and functional watch.
6.75 inch wrist here and the GMT wear great, i actually like the weight of it.

My two biggest gripes with the GMT are that the indices are too small and too close to the edges of the dial, throwing the dial out of balance. Also the thickness, yikes. I'm not a fan of the shade of blue in the BB58, but I have not seen it live. Pelagos blue would have been great.

i have both and they are both great watches - fortunately i have not had "the issue" on my GMT

if i had to keep only one it would be the BB58 blue all day but that is due to my collection having the GMT issue arguably better covered in my 5 digit Rolex models and that the BB58 blue is a stunner

Had a BB GMT flipped it as I couldn't get on with the size. If it was same size as the BB 58 I will still have it now.

I own both, and like both a lot. I have larger wrists, and I tend to prefer GMT watches, so if I had to choose, it would be BB GMT. But I really like the blue on the BB58.

Because of the problems he has had and has the GMT with the dater, I prefer the BB blue

this is a tough call.

looks wise, BB Blue is amazing. The blue dial really stands out. A very handsome watch.

If this watch had a date function, I would have picked it up in a day. However, I just have to have date functions on a watch.

Tudor GMT - nice looking dial, but as others have alluded to, there seem to be problems with the movement. So I won't likely pull the trigger just based on that.

Any love for Tudor Blackbay Chrono here? I happen to think it is a very handsome watch, and a much cheaper alternative to Daytona.

BBGMT on paper is a great watch and aesthetically it's very nice too. Unfortunately the date wheel issue is still prevalent so I would hold off buying one until that is resolved.

Rolex GMT Pepsi definetly has my vote. But you have to make that decision based on your budget.
Good luck
