It was really quite sturdy. I added extensions to the brakes to allow for an upright riding position for a change of pace. There were basically no other available add-ons or upgrades at the time. I'v looked, and I can't find a single photo of it in my collection of childhood and youth pics.

Except for when I was a young kid, I never owned or purchased a bicycle until I turned 53...! I had no idea what I was missing

that looks like an 11-23 on the Equinox.
BR, if you still have it, you should throw up a picture of the Red cassette for those that aren't familiar with the machining involved. It's a crazy piece of work. |

I don't think there exists, nor is there a need for a 10t cog on a road bike as long as it's running an FD and 2 rings. Regardless, the only way to do it is with an XD driver....and I don't know of any road hubs with one. |

Pinarello F10 Sram Red ETap Bike Update
Well today my F10 is in the schedule at my LBS to have this beauty finally built. This will be my most expensive bike I own or had built.. The German Lightweight Ferweg 80's Wheels put it over the top..

The most expensive bike I ever built eclipsed $20k. Also the smallest 700c road bike I ever built. The fellow was so concerned about weight that we cut the drops off the bars. That was a fun build. I miss being excited about stuff like that. These days I get excited about paint jobs.

Buying six bikes at close-out makes a lot of sense when you know the market or your own needs. I know a fella with 400+ guitars; his retirement scheme was hatched when he wanted one but got a deal on six from the west coast manufacturer. |
