Pan Am Daytona

I’m sure others here know about this but I only knew about the Pan Am GMT. This one is a Pan Am Daytona! I stumbled upon this when looking for info on the Pan Am GMT. I never knew the Pan Am Daytona existed!

Pan Am Daytona

Orchi thinks these are franken, even though RPR is very knowledgeable, I lean franken. The bezel being blue goes too far for me.

AFAIK "these" should be "this" as there's only one documented example.

Not to mention the PAN AM case back on the GMT avatar. Where did that come from?

Pan Am Daytona

I think it looks really cool. On of the few Daytona’s ever to make me stop short in my scrolling of TRF and say “whoaaa, that’s gorgeous!!”

The bluish bezel is not original to the watch, as acknowledged by the owner in the article. Originally it was black, which would make more sense.

This Daytona may or may not be as described, but I do know Orchi is not always correct.

I’m also a fan. The blue adds a unique touch.

Funny enough I saw this posted as a sale ad on facebook in several Rolex facebook groups for 150K

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1434...16599550314410

Hope the link works.

Interestingly as well that the Cosmograph writing is different in both.
