Just another gilt GMT

Just an excuse to show some new pics (taken on Chicago's lakefront)...This is a 1.4 mil (II 66) which I bought from Eric Ku not long ago.

Very nice Adam! I'll be in Chicago at the end of the month visiting relatives, and then again in November for RSNA. I love Chicago!

Yeah, the cyclops doesn't really bother me for Subs and Datejusts and the like, but with the GMTs, it can get very cumbersome visually at 3:00 when the 24 hour hand gets in the way! I much prefer this cleaner look.

Beautiful watch and great pics. I've taken some shots of some of my watches on Lake Michigan as well.

Beauty, but I prefer the correct crystal - you have quite a space between that one and the bezel insert, which looks a bit off to me. Lovely watch though - same year as mine!

I think the photos exaggerates whatever space there is. Certainly none that I can put a fingernail through. It's really more like a bevel, given the curve of the early insert. And the crystal and insert are level. Must be an artifact of the wide angle lens of my camera to make it look otherwise...AFAIK the T38 was also correct for the 1675, as an alternative, according to parts catalogs. They are getting scarce, though.

WOW, beautiful watch! I am also looking at a 1.4m 1966 GMT gilt with small triangle 24hour hand. Your dial and hands are in incredible condition, have the hands been changed?
