Help identifying year/model of a few vintage Rolex

Hey guys. My buddy at work lost his dad last year and recently was given a literal bag of watches. His dad was an attorney and had about 20-30 watches, from no name brands to diamond studded Rolex. Im trying to help him ID some pieces and haven't had much luck (i.e a Rolex DayDate but there's no day complication?) I've found a few but if any experts out there could weigh in with an approximate year/model I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Out of the whole lot, only 1 of them looks possibly real. The rest of them are horrible fakes and should be smashed with a hammer.

The first picture of the two tone black dial date, we would need to see more pics of it to confirm if it is in fact real or not.

I agree that one needs further investigation, but the rest

I like the Day-Date without the day.

My son-in-law is an attorney and was given a nice lady's date to hold in lieu of payment a few years ago.

If we assume the story is true, I wonder how many of the watches were acquired in the same manner?

Yes but even on this one (first picture) the bezel is strange. If gold, it should be a fluted bezel, not a turned one.

That would be disappointing to learn dads Rolex collection was all bad fakes.

Day date missing the day is a bit funny. Instead of just skipping that model they made one without the day.

That's incorrect... look up Rolex 15223... it's a two tone date (34 mm) with engine turned bezel... very common... as mentioned this is the only watch from the lot with a fighting chance... I would actually lean towards genuine since the counterfeits of this model are typically pretty horrendous, but of course, without having it in hand or at least better pics, its hard to say...

For better ID on the first one, need some more and better pics of the watch, bracelet and clasp.

As others have pointed out, the others are fake v

Bezels are easily swapped to meet someone’s taste. A very common practice

Since the first pic is totally different from the rest, I wouldn't give it a second look.

That's interesting and I'm gonna guess this kind of thing happened here too. He's got some "gold" ladies Omega's and a various assortment of other gaudy watches I couldn't really imagine a man wearing. My coworker is my age (30's) and is now a multi-millionare because of the $ that was left to him from his dad. Looking like the watches aren't going to contribute to his pocketbook.

Love this forum. Some of your responses gave me a good laugh. Thanks again guys.
