Icon10 How about Rolex 1002

I bought a Rolex 1002 last month from Japan. The Serial number is 41xxxxx. It maintain in Japan RSC last year July. Due to the new coronavirus, it is still in transit. So I only have photos from the seller, sorry I can't provide more photos. The seller informed me that the watch was all original, including the bracelet.

The question as following:

I would like to ask about how much is it worth?

I spent a total of 2,300 dollars to buy him. Is it expensive?

I want to know how long I can use it if it is well protected?

Is the movement 1570? The year should be after the 1970s.

Can the 1570 movement still meet the observatory certification standard after RSC maintenance?

Thank you, this is my first Rolex, I love him.

Congrats, and welcome to the Old Watch Club.

Photo is not good enough to comment and would want to see some better photos. 4,1xx,xxx serial puts it around 1974. Probably 1570 movement.

Won't comment on price in detail but it is in the range.

Enjoy the watch and stay safe.

Wow, I didn't know that users from China could access these forums, it would certainly be interesting to have more participants from there.

Anyway, as @linesiders mentioned, please post more photos when you receive the watch and we can give you better opinions. The price will depend on the condition, the bracelet, and other things that we can't determine from that photo. I was trying to help someone find one of these recently, and I noticed decent examples selling without a bracelet for about $2k USD on eBay, so if the watch is legit, I think the price is in the right ballpark.

Thank you. I use a VPN to connect to here. I will upload more HD pictures when I receive the watch.

I would like to ask whether the maintenance done in RSC is reliable? Do I need to go to RSC again after I get the watch? I don't know anything about watches, I can't detect it by myself.

RSC does good work, and you should not need to have the watch serviced again for 5-10 years.

I received my Rolex.

Hello everyone, I have received my Rolex 1002. I uploaded some detailed pictures. Please help me to see how it looks. Thank you.

I have two questions for everyone.

1.My Rolex performed the maintenance at the Rolex Service Center last July. The luminous should be changed. Why can't it be lit?

2.The bracelet is too long for me. Is it easy to do it yourself? Or do I need to go to a Rolex Service Center?

Goodbye, friends.
I went to the Rolex Service Center in Beijing today to cut the strap. I was told that the strap of the watch had been changed, and it did not match their records. The strap should be gold, so I planned to return it. .
The movement of the movement is still accurate.

Huh?
Gold strap? You mean gold bracelet? No, it should not. This is a ss watch.

Keep the watch, looks good and you paid ok for it.

No. I mean it have gold and steel watch. I don’t know detail. But RSV couldn’t provide any servers, because my bracelet’s number is not accord with their system. And she told me that experience worker reply that this bracelet should fix on gold and steel style Rolex. Not steel only.

The watch from the photos is all stainless steel. So is the bracelet. While it might not be the correct bracelet....there was no gold or 2 tone bracelet on this watch originally.

My advice is to keep the watch. Its in good condition and you paid a fair price.

the clasp model is 62523H18 - thus implying it should have been a two tone bracelet. Which, obviously did not come originally on this watch.
