Made my mother-in-law happy on her birthday today!
Been contemplating giving my mother-in-law a Rolex watch for five years and today was finally her 60th birthday and she received a 26mm 69173 from 1995 from me that I bought it in NY’s diamond district in October 2019.
Been looking forward to this day and now she finally received the watch and she was so happy! I am glad that someone finally made an effort to celebrate her with a great watch...

What a great gesture OP. Her daughter is lucky to have you!
And I know people will say something but on a ladies watch of the 90s, the date numbers are supposed to be a bold type font which is 100% correct.

Like my wife said; “Getting a Rolex from you is the highest token of appreciation that a person will get”, I think my mother-in-law knows that and it brings her extra joy. I wrote her a personal letter that she got along with the watch. I ended the letter with “whenever you look down on your watch it will remind you of how much your family loves you”...I think the extra personal touch makes the gift more special!

Ready for a laugh?
My mother-in-law only wears the watch when she gets out of the apartment and now it’s been a couple of days since she went out and she calls my wife up and tell her that the battery is out and the watch is not showing correct time anymore! |
