I had a call from a UK independent AD for Pelagos 39. At that point I hadn’t seen it in the flesh, only photos, however in the photos it did look good.
I managed to see it for real at one of Tudor’s new boutiques and was really disappointed - the bezel was disproportionately wide for the watch face (unlike the BB58 which I find correctly proportioned) and the watch face itself I found very flat and uninteresting (unlike the 42mm). The only high point was the non-rivet bracelet. I felt that Tudor rushed this one out and I’m glad that I passed until I actually saw it. |
