Listen I am preparing my “gift for dad” thread response and why the blnr is better! I get it, it’s fine.

The Sky Dweller is stunning and one I need to try again. I let go of an SD43 cause it was too thick and I hesitate on the SkyD cause it is a bit thick as well - but I do love it. Good suggestion. The speed master looks great too. I am fairly interested in the Speedy 57 that just recently released.

OP, that is a very nice evolution of the watches over 2022. Well curated!

If me in your shoes, I'd consider FPJ for the last spot on the team.

I have removed a Daytona 116519 dial, as it overlapped with the 116506, and a Royal Oak 15500 from my collection. The APRO is a bit too in your face with the light play in my opinion, I just haven't found many situations to wear it. It did make the watch box look pretty though.

I am also thinking of swapping the 5711r to the new 5811. I love the new blue dial and the updated size.

I would like to add one more for an even 8. Could be any brand. Thoughts?

A family picture would help as am not a VC / PP conosiuor. Perhaps replace the YM with the WG version of it ?

The WG YM is, imo, the most bland generic looking Rolex model they make. The rhodium has a lot more character and is, IMO, the best SS Rolex. I can't part with it!

I think a nice German watch would add some depth to your Swiss collection (at least based on your list) as you may have others.

I think the Odysseus from ALS would be a great addition. You would be getting a stunning piece but not one that is widely seen. It also meets your bracelet requirement and comes in titanium and stainless steel. I have tried both and both are fantastic.

I am just the opposite of you. So far, I prefer leather and rubber to the bracelets. There may be a bracelet out there that will work for me that I have not found yet. We shall see.

I only see sports watches. Or maybe something more "classic" from Lange this time? For example, 414.028.

To the last two replies: I just don't vibe with dress watches. The Day-Date is plenty dressy enough while still being sporty.

At the moment I think I have settled on the Meteorite Pepsi but I am still open to other suggestions before locking that in.

Pretty great collection! My first suggestion would have been a Patek Philippe 5236 (inline perpetual calendar) for an epic dressy option, but as you don’t like dress watches, maybe take a look at the Omega Caliber 321 Speedmaster. If you are into movements, it’s a pretty special piece that is also quite rare (they only make a 1000 or so a year). Maybe a nice change of pace as you don’t have an Omega yet. Still quite mainstream and safe - these don’t crater in value the moment you walk out of the boutique (or just get it grey for a premium that is very modest compared to some Rolexes).

You need a YG in the collection. I'd go with YG SkyD with white dial.

Also fills the sport category with screw down crown, integrated chrono, and 100m WR.

Amazing. What a beautiful watch. I picked up 2 this season (Tudor harrods and Tudor chrono panda). Next year (or two) will be a good model of some sort.

Also I would say don’t buy another Rolex, you have plenty of incredible Rolex watches.
Genuinely, if I were fortunate enough to own a collection such as yours I’d be looking to add something totally different.
A JLC Reverso, A Lange & Sohn, a Cartier Skeleton Santos….

It really does seem like you're trying to refine your collection and look for a new outlet. But currently all I see in your collection are sport models and frankly it's so boring. I'm not throwing shade at your taste but rather the same few collection of watches as everyone else. So I'm suggesting to

Get Rid Of:
GMT-Master II “Rootbeer”
Vacheron Constantin Overseas
Yacht-Master Rhodium
Platinum Day-Date

After replacing those watches whats primarily missing is calendar complication. I'm not sure how big your wrist is and I assume price isn't an issue, so you should do thorough research and look into a Patek 3448 or a Patek 5236.

Maybe a “vintage” 116710BLNR?

. . . But in seriousness, given you don’t really have budget constraints I’d echo those who recommend a Speedmaster 321, or even one of the moonshine or campus gold versions of the Speedy.

Respectfully, I am not intending to sell these and have not made a post asking which to let go.

Considering you dropped two of my favorites and I am not a fan of your suggestions, we definitely don't have similar tastes.

I don't understand the idea of losing a fluted bezel or a VC in a Rolex / sport heavy lineup if we're talking about diversity. I also am not interested in dress watch Pateks. Not my cup of tea.

Maybe I'll look into the BLNR

I’ll add another vote for the 321. It’s a favorite in my collection and I appreciate it more then my watches costing far more. I used to have multiple Speedmasters but sold all of them when I got the 321. It’s on a whole other level. Even better then my 116500 I had (them fight’n words!!).

A lot of 321 suggestions. After looking into it I have to say the Speedmaster aesthetic does not appeal to me. I can't say the 321 does much better.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I agree with Jordan, it’s my favorite in my collection

Your collection is already amazing. I’d go AP Royal Oak in either rose gold or stainless. Get the green dial chrono as you (and I) are drawn to those.
