Vintage patek in Zurich/Geneva

Hi all, very excited to visit the Geneva patek museum finally next week. Will only be in Geneva for 2 days, any vintage watch shop I should visit? Wondering if I can score some interesting older Patel’s. Any tips to make the most out of the visit? Thanks!

Ponti in Geneva is a great store to visit. Always has an amazing selection of watches.

In Zurich Beyer is definitely worth stopping by.

The Beyer museum is indeed a must see. Beyer is the oldest watch store in the world but main focus is Patek/Rolex AD.

For vintage, the best dealer in Zurich is rareandfine.com but on appointment only. No walk-in store.

Hi,

you will need at least five to six hours for the PP museum tour. I was there last week. It‘s incredible. You should also visit the PP Salon. All major Brands have flagship stores in Geneva, but only PP has all current models on display.

The Beyer Museum in Zurich is also worth a visit.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. Arrange to see the salon and the museum guides tour as well as checking out the local shops. Let see what gems might be out there!

In Geneva: There is no jaw dropping vintage shops honestly... Lot of greys, boutiques, flippers, etc.

I would advice:

- the PP museum
- the salon to try a current collection model
- the MAD gallery (https://www.madgallery.net/geneva/en ). They have an amazing collection of clocks, objects around time. It belongs to MB&F but they sells amazing pieces like l'epee or modern creator.

There is an event next week (https://www.reluxuryevent.com).

If you can, I would visit some museum in the Canton of Neuchatel or AP. They even have ateliers, private tours, etc. Worth the money! (AP Masterclass are unfortunately sold out.)

I was at the museum a couple of weeks back (and the factory, mind still blown) but would like to revisit and spend more time there as it was a guided tour of 45mins per floor (just first and second) and I have a strong feeling there is so much more to see, it's a sheer watchlovers delight!

As another said don't miss the small but impressive Beyer museum on the Bahnfoffstrasse in Zurich. Last month the museum opened at 2:00

Hello,

I believe the others told you pretty much what to do in Geneva. Visit the MAD Gallery, Patek Salon (try to ask if you can visit the 4th floor for VIP clients, you have an amazing view from there) & museum. There are plenty of watch shops (Bucherer, Gubelin, Les Ambassadeurs etc...).

Regarding vintage I would suggest you to visit Ponti in Geneva, you can set an appointment and visit their shop (they have a lot of watches and other cool stuff to see/try on).

Enjoy our nice city and feel free to reach out if you need other recommendation!

In Zurich you shouldn‘t miss Faktor Zeit (in Gassen) as well as Gerber Fine Timepieces (Rämistrasse). Geneva you should also pay visit to the Kings of Speedmasters (Davidoff Brothers). Enjoy your trip and safe travels.

Btw over the next few days there’s a luxury goods show in Geneva that several vintage watch dealers will be attending. It’s called reluxury I believe and is held in one of the hotels in town.

Agree with this. Was there last week and Faktor had no Pateks but several other nice pieces. I did not go into Gerber but there was a cool Heuer in their minimalist window.

Also on the same street is Greenwich MT, but they generally have more mid pieces (eg Omega) and maybe an occasional calatrva.

Honestly Zurich isn’t great for vintage.

Hey guys, due to the last min changes, only got a few hours at Geneva and missed Zurich. Had the chance to experience the patek salon and museum private tour, it was one of the best experience I could dream of as a watch lover! Will write a longer feedback once back home but thank you everyone for your suggestion! I look forward to to come back with longer stay next time!

Also got a small little surprise from the salon. Not a watch but something I was looking for for a while! Lovely SA lady who took the time to show us around!

Here is a few pics for preview first!

Thanks for showing the unicorn 5531. That's an utterly desirable watch.

Thank you all again! So much fun! Yes I got the matching cuff with the 5711. Felt a bit more special coming from the Geneva salon :)

I have looked at quite a few vintage watches at Beyer. I found them in all cases completely overpriced.

That 5531 looks amazing!!
Does anyone know more about a possible allocation?
You probably have to buy the complete Patek range first ;)
