Waiting List for Snoopy

I called Watches of Switzerland today at Mall of America about waiting list. They stated that I need to come in and fill out a form in order to be put on list. Is it a waste of time. I have been told it is not a limited edition watch. Anyone else have any input

You can try but most likely it's a waste of time.

Interested to know. Ask them how long the waitlist is and when you'd expect to get one.

I was on the list on 5 Oct 2020, and received the watch last Sept after waiting for nearly 12 months. Didn't have much purchase history. I also did not purchase any timepieces prior to receiving.

At that point of time I think it is impossible to get the Snoopy.

On the list = some probability you'll purchase at MSRP; Not on list = zero probability you'll purchase at MSRP.

Unless your time is valued at some astronomical rate this probably isn't a waste of it.

Nope, 22k on Chrono 24 isn't an accurate reflection of the current market. It's much lower than that.

OP, go ahead and put yourself on the waitlist. Worst that can happen is you never get the call.

Just going to share my personal experience. I put my name on a list with no expectation of getting a call, but I did.

If you don't, you never will. Don't let the nay-sayers deter you. Just don't pay over MSRP.

This is right -- I have seen a few go for ~19.5k on another website.

The problem is that only boutiques really get them. Other stores get maybe 1-2 a year. So getting on a waitlist--if there are 20 people on it already, you are looking at 10-20 years. By then, they won't be making the watch. It's not a limited edition, but they don't make many available and the next Snoopy will be out relatively soon.

Knowing Omega, they're going to make way too many versions of the Snoopy now that they know they have a winner in their hands

Since I don’t own one and won’t pay grey prices that’s totally fine by me. I definitely want one and if I could get one wouldn’t care if the value absolutely tanked the Mimi walked out the door.
Hopefully the next one is just as cool as the last versions.

Its not limited but it can be discontinued at any point. People theorize and guess when it will happen, but reality is it can happen at anytime.

As far as the numbers being delivered, the owner of the Omega OB here is also the owner of the Vacheron OB, Patek OB etc etc. According to him and based on how many he has received so far, he says the snoopy is way rarer than the Nautilus and Overseas. While I am sure there are a lot more Omega boutiques than Patek etc, it still gives you an indication on the very low number of snoopy's being produced. Omega OB says they were told by Omega HQ that 1.5 - 2k per annum.
