I bought it new in 1998 & my first proper watch too.
I can still remember the excitement buying it - never had that same buzz again as was such a bit deal at the time.

Not sure I've seen a Tresor posted yet, so here's my recent addition - manual wind, 40mm case & classic design vibes, but with a great movement that's keeping +2.8s/day.

Shame it's buried deep in the Omega website....

(pardon the poor quality photo)

Speedmaster Tokyo 2020

Tried to capture the actual silver opaline dial look in person versus the white color it usually turns out in pictures.

re OEM mesh strap:

yes it is. 19mm wide, very nice fit between the lugs

omega decided to sell in steel. available in several sizes / widths

important note for anyone considering: there is a sweet spot in the sizing as well as a critical spot that should be known.

1)comfort: if too long an extra thickness will be created by the end of the strap resting under deployant.
2)critical: when removing the watch from your wrist, there is one specific size setting that will trigger a spontaneous disconnect of the bracelet from the deployant allowing the watch to fall.

I have not come across mention of this before?

Trying out this new rubber deployment from Monstraps today. It’s definitely the most comfortable rubber combo I have ever worn. My OCD is in full force with the minor spacing between the case and strap. Nope. It just disappeared. I guess having it sit in the watch overnight the strap settled. Didn’t know a rubber strap could do that.
