"Breitling" Sinn 903

Recently acquired this German flavor of the Breitling Navtimer. Hope this is the right forum since it is officially licensed from Breitling.

Tough to find any information out about it but it has the Lemania 1873 caliber. A few differences in the dial layout from overall very similar.

Very happy with this watch and its size and weight. Now I can calculate a tip easily. LOL

The history of how Sinn got the rights is interesting.

I’ve actually considered this version over the navitimer because of the cool nuance.

Very cool, I had no idea about this. A great watch to have in your collection.

Bankrupcy

Breitling sold the parts and the right when it went bankrupt around 1979 AFAIK but did not sell the name Navitimer.

That's why I would prefer it as well. And the price.

Unfortunately prices have risen considerably over the last couple of years :( anyway, worth the hunt.

You can find one for 3k or under if you are patient.

What is interesting is it says "T SWISS MADE T" whereas every other Sinn usually says "Germany" on it. So I wonder if Sinn paid someone else to assemble?

I owned a Sinn UTC watch years ago and liked it and this is just a little different.

Anything thanks for the kind words.

I would guess that with a lemania movement it would say "swiss made" as opposed to "Germany" since that is usually (Albeit far from always) a signifier of the movement

This is the first time when I see this iconic watch with the different logo. In my opinion it is look like a fake Navitimer.

I have a huge soft spot for the 903 just due to the story behind it! Still awaiting for when the perfect one will find it's way to my wrist.
