2nd faulty Colt Chronograph

I purchased a Colt in the Dubai boutique back in October 2014, all worked fine until Jan 2015 where I noticed the chronograph second hand, when reset, stopped at the 37 seconds marker and not at 12 o'clock. After handing it in to the service centre, which I will add were very professional, they offered a replacement movement which I declined so they replaced with a new Colt which I received in March 2015.

So, we come to January 2016. Again, the watch has been working fine but now the Chronograph second hand is stopping at the 58 second marker. Yesterday I took it to Tunbridge Wells service centre, which coincidentally is a few minutes away from work, where they said they will treat as urgent due to my history.

Is anyone else aware of this issue? Or have had similar issues? I am guessing they will want to replace the movement again?

Not too sure what the problem would be, but if it's happened to you twice I'd imagine it's happened to others.

I had the same problem with my Dolce & Gabanna Quartz chrono(not sure if yours is auto or Quartz) but the problem was solved with a simple battery change.

Thanks, as per Breitling website the movement is SuperQuartz™, thermocompensated quartz electronic, fast-action timezone change.

Are you stopping the chronograph before resetting it. If you dont you get a result similar to what you said.

Yes, I was using the function correctly. I use the Chronograph daily at the gym to time my rest periods.

The Colt is back in my hands now, Breitling advised that the Chronograph was out of synchronisation. They reset manually, synchronised and tested whilst with diagnostics and carried out further checks on the movement and chronograph and made adjustments where necessary.

They also gave me the below information which is not in the handbook. Maybe useful to others who are new to watches, like myself.

In all, a good experience with their servicing and happy to have my watch back within 4 weeks. They also returned it in a Breitling soft watch case which was a nice gesture.
