Looking for feedback on my 1680 mid case

First, this is NOT a backdoor sales listing — I’m a pledge member and have been for years, so I can list to the FS section at any time. I am genuinely looking for feedback!

I am going to sell this at some point soon, but welcome any feedback from vintage experts here… as I value my reputation more than anything and want to make sure I point out as much as I can.

Any comments/concerns folks note on the case/caseback below?

Obviously was polished, but I think a decently strong case and nice IV72 caseback. Little corrosion on the top of the mid case.. Anything else I’m missing?

… just remove the gasket when you post the case back photo… somebody is bound to ask about the state of corrosion under the rubber…

From my watch. I’ve had a 1680 red for several years with a re-lumed dial ( I’ve posted about it on TRF in the past). Relume done by James Hyman in the UK who is stellar, but I’ve continued to intermittently hunt for another original example. Well I finally found one, so parting out the other to maximize my recovery to offset its purchase price…

Can you post a pic of the 6 o’clock engravings (obviously blur out some of the last #s of serial)?

Sure. Solid on that side too, curious to hear if anyone has comments there.

Ironically, the case on the old one is slightly stronger than the new one, but I bought the new one from the original owner so want to keep largely as is (will swap inserts, but that’s it)

How much more percentage wise would you expect to fetch by parting out vs selling complete? Just curious.

It seems a shame to part it out just because of the relumed dial. I'm sure someone would love to own it...
