Daytona 126519LN: Black or Silver dial?

I went black dial, just my preference.

There is some nice sub dial texture contrast that doesn't translate in the stock photo. Very nice indeed.

The black dial looks like a LeMans with an Oysterflex, the silver dial has really distinctive contrast between dial/bezel/sub dials.

Both are far more legible than the SS models.

I like them both and would buy whichever was offered first.

Your right. I never thought about it but the black dial does look like a LeMans on Oysterflex. I have a new black dial 126519 and love it

I have the old silver and am thinking about the new black dial as well. I most admit the silver dial pops more. That’s why I’m on the fence. The black dial is pretty though.

Both look great. If I had to chose, it would be silver

Both are good. I was offered black so that's what I took and very happy with it.

Sometimes it's nice to have the decision made for me!

Daytona 126519LN: Black or Silver dial?

I’m not buying another black watch. The sunburst silver dial matched the warmth of white gold case perfectly. It’s hard to capture on photo.

The black dial looks like an upscaled Speedmaster. I have enough speedies.

I’ve ordered the black dial but my AD said if I want to change when I see it then I can.

The stock photo doesn’t do the black dial justice and the real life pictures it looks stunning.

Also the new silver dial on the 126 models isn’t as nice as the old one, I’ve tried them on at the same time when they were first released and the old dial is much nicer.

I have the 116 silver and 126 black. Can’t figure out the answer to your question either.

Anybody know how many of these the AD gets per year? I’ve been waiting on the silver dial ghost for so long, and my AD has sold me 4 Rolexes (3 SS sports models and RG DD) so far so it’s not like he’s not trying, I just don’t understand why it’s so hard to come across this one.

Steel dial for me. Also, when you check chrono the black one seems a bit better priced. So either demand is lower or production is higher then steel dial.

What differences did you find between both silver dials? I like the thinner classic hour markers in theory, but think the older rounder bigger indices capture more light. I own the 116159Ln silver
