Sly’s 5218-201/A sells for big $€$€$€!

Could there be a more important modern Panerai??

Estimate: $40-80,000
Sold: $214,200

Good write up and photos:

What an awesome watch and lucky new owner! For sure Cru the most important modern Panerai and truly a catalyst for the brand.

PS the estimates never are close to hammer prices. This one went fairly cheap when you look at other celebrity vintage pieces.

Love these early pumpkin dial models, my initial guess was it would fetch at a couple 100k being these usually sell for $45-50k or so with no famous provenance. Congrats on the sale & to the new lucky owner.

That is about where I thought it would go for. The watch has a lot of history.

Congrats to the buyer, hope Panerai does a museum or tour with it and other pieces.
