Serial number questions
As a new owner of a Rolex, can anyone educate me on the serial number. I bought from an AD, and other than that number being sold (I assume this is why the AD swiped the warranty card), does Rolex know it was sold to me? If so, how? Does it just go to Rolex as being a AD sold piece? Also, is there some sort of meaning to the serial number like a manufacturing date.

Since 2010, the Rolex serial numbers have been random and do not provide any info toward determining the assembly date of a watch.
The warranty card swipe does activate the warranty on the watch. But Rolex does not know who purchased the watch. Welcome to TRF |
