Heron Therapeutics to Present at the 38th Annual Cowen Healthcare Conference

Monday, March 12, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. EST

https://www.barchart.com/story/stock...are-conference

"Candidate HTX-011 is now in phase 2 clinical trials in combination with meloxicam for emergency room nerve block, and two phase 3 studies in combination with meloxicam for post-operative pain and inflammation in bunionectomy and hernia repair. The primary endpoint is analysis of sustained relief for the first 72 hours and minimization of the need for highly addictive opioids. Heron expects to complete pivotal phase 3 studies in 1H 2018, with NDA filing expected to follow before the end of 2018. HTX-011 is the first opioid alternative for local administration into the surgical site to be granted fast-track designation by FDA to reduce postoperative pain for 72 hours. Phase 2 studies of candidate HTX-011 demonstrated superiority over placebo and standard of care (bupivacaine) in all surgical models evaluated, having significantly reduced the need for opioids following surgery for 72 hours (bunionectomy: versus placebo (p=0.011); hernia repair: versus placebo (p=0.0001), and 75 mg bupivacaine (p=0.011)). The company released phase 2 clinical trial data in January 2017 demonstrating that HTX-011 produced statistically significant reductions in pain and need for opioids following abdominoplasty through 96 hours post-surgery as well." More Positive News for HRTX & HTX-011.

Related News: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/want-...113907044.html

There is a lot of chatter on the investment boards about a possible buy out in Mid-2018. If the results of the latest phase3 clinical studies for HTX-011 are positive the company will look very attractive to other big pharma companies in the pain management arena... Only time will tell. Do your research and Best of Luck!
GREAT NEWS TODAY!!!

HTX-011 Postoperative Pain Program Topline Results From Phase 3 March 19, 2018.

I like this Comment in President Trump News Conference on Omnibus Spending Bill Today!
https://www.c-span.org/video/?443026...ll-veto-threat

Please fast forward to 16:49 pay close attention to 17:50 the end of the topic is 18:07...

Maybe it is Wishful Thinking but HTX-001 is a drug that helps combat the Opioid Crisis in hospitals and will decrease the need to prescribe them after surgeries Thus combating the addiction problem in the United States and Around the World!

What does everyone think about gold? In early November of 2016, it looked like the safe haven, that fell apart quick.

Think the timing was just off, so I parked some money in GLD today - I sold a bunch into strength yesterday & Wednesday too and am starting to build a cash reserve.

My main goals for the time being are preservation, fwiw.

Junior Gold Miners is really a little bit of a misnomer. Silver is in there by reference since many small-capitalization companies are involved in mining for gold and/or silver per the prospectus.

Regarding GLD as some asked, it’s a SPDR that I’d suggest only for active traders. It’s 5 yr chart shows as much volatility as many consumer cyclicals.

Just in case anyone is following along and got confused, an SPDR (S&P Depository Receipt) is an ETF. They are not different products. However, you can have an ETF that is not an SPDR. I think.

Thanks for the info on the GDXJ, 77T, I didn't realize that it was more than just gold. Nor did I know what a lousy investment it was until after I bought it.

Another reason not to believe anything you read on the Internet.

If HRXT closes over $30 /share that is a very good sign for the stock and its upward trend. Holding on... https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/HRTX?ltr=1

Thought I would make a post since I haven’t made one in awhile. Yesterday I shorted SLV for an average price of $16.12. I think gold is more attractive right now and also more stable. Silver every time it’s spiked this year and past year it’s only burned investors. Also I found some really interesting low cost alternative strategy etfs that I think can really hedge a portfolio during times of market volatility and thought I would share them with you all. I will list them below.

QAI- Funds of funds aka multi strategy
QMN- Market Neutral
DYLS- Long/Short Equity
WTMF- Managed futures

Also on schwab these are all commission free. The bid and ask spread is quit disproportionate so make sure to use limit order when buying or selling them.

If anyone ever wants to talk stocks just PM me I’m always up for chatting about stocks

Curious for thoughts on the macro picture? Yes, earnings have been strong, unemployment is low, yada yada yada, but the reaction is muted - are we near the end/peak of this cycle?

We're 3 months into this volatile period, just some consolidation, or is the market seeing something on the horizon before we have a clear view?

I think we are near the end of the cycle. This is only my opinion. I have shifted my allocation to a bunch of hedged etfs and commodities. I own some bitcoin and am playing the marijuana space too.

Hey, playing the marijuana space sounds like fun. Don't bogart that doobie, dude. LOL

Seriously though, I've been reading a bit about that inverted yield curve, and how its sending all kinds of signals. Today, with the suspension of some tariffs, that may move the market up, but I think the risk outweighs the reward right now with these mostly inflated valuations.

Don't Waste Your Money On Penny Stocks -- These 3 Stocks Are Better Buys

Nice Little Read Here!
HRTX...

This growth stock is set to sail. Or YACHT!

George Budwell (Heron Therapeutics): If you're looking for ways to grow your money at an unusually high rate, the mid-cap biotech Heron Therapeutics should be on your radar. After two positive late-stage trials for its experimental pain medication HTX-011 last month, the company is now set to have three products on the market within the next 12 months. As a result, Heron's top line is forecast to grow by an astounding 163% next year.

The best part about this story is that HTX-011 could end up becoming a major new tool to help replace opioid use in the acute-pain setting. If so, this experimental pain med should generate some truly eye-popping sales figures in the years ahead -- especially since most of the drug's direct competitors have already failed in clinical trials over the past two years. The bottom line is that Heron's HTX-011 and Pacira Pharmaceuticals' Exparel should end up gobbling up the lion's share of this multibillion-dollar drug market.

Beyond the biotech's improving fundamentals, there's also a strong chance that a top biopharma will soon make a play for Heron's analgesic and antiemetic portfolio. Pfizer, after all, is close to losing exclusivity for its megablockbuster pain med Lyrica, and this biopharma giant is absolutely flush with cash at the moment. When it comes to making deals, Pfizer is also known to prefer companies with either late-stage assets or drugs already on the market; Heron arguably checks all the boxes that Pfizer looks for in a midsized acquisition.

Heron is a solid growth play that's been greatly de-risked by the positive late-stage results for HTX-011 -- arguably making it worth a look by investors on the hunt for above-average returns on capital.

I bought JPM today, not far from the low - It is close to the 200 DMA, it has been down here multiple times this year and bounced every time... This is a swing trade, not a marriage, but a target of $114 is far from a stretch, IMO.
