I cannot decide what will be my first aftermarket strap...a NATO, a bund...or classic leather.

I found this strap, I believe from a TRF member...anyone have any experience?

http://www.watchstyle.com/pd87899294...&categoryId=14

I like the curved end...though, I'm not even sure if it would work on a Sub.

14060 lug width is 20mm correct?

Pretty cool. I think the extra thickness at the spring bar end would suit the height of the sub. Yes, the 14060m is 20mm.

Get a NATO first. It's cheap and easy. From there you can see if you want to venture out into the world of the more pricey bund and leather straps.

Well...the Corvus RAF finally arrived (it actually came in 2 days!).

I figured I'd get the thread back to what it was meant to be about...Subs. NOT Sub-Dates.

Thanks!

I think it's the best looking nylon strap that I own.

I'm going to tuck the strap end around on itself so it doesn't stick up like it is in the pic I posted.

Now I just need a white tux and a bunch of hot chicks!

Don't forget the red carnation in your buttonhole!

Which hole are you on? I found by sliding the strap to different positions I got it so the spare end was in both keepers but not showing, basically like a two piece leather strap would... Just took a bit of fiddling but keeps it neat.

I'm on the 3rd smallest hole. If I don't tuck there's a bit too much sticking passed the second keeper.

I dunno. I'll keep playing with it.

How many others on here have an 18mm Corvus Bond? I bet there aren't too many.

The reason I became a Rolex fan, was a Sub I saw in the Rolex AD window when I was 14.

I was collecting all my pocket money and worked in summer holidays to save the money required. ( This was NOT daily practice in Greece in the '70's ).

When I got 18, I had the money and GOT IT !!!!

This watch is no longer with me, but I have other ones that I LOVE

( By the way, I was to learn later in life what Rolex was, what the firm represents and its history. When I first got mine, it was only because of the looks ). Viva le Sub

My beloved 5513

...and with company

...and its "call of duty"

I thought this thread needed a bit of 'bumpage' to gather more Submariner owners to the fold!

Great Subs everyone!

All of these other "Submariner owner" threads need to be edited and have "DATE" added to their names...

Not us though of course.

Glad to hear it, compadre!

It's not the 'best' strap in the world but, on a sub at least, I do think it's the coolest!

Glad I got to play 'Q' to your 'Bond'!
