interesting that would be roughly 90 pieces a month. i think the average cost of a breitling is roughly 5k. if that boutique is is generating 450k a month thats actually pretty descent.

Breitling is going to open a new boutique in central Paris soon. It is in an area where there are lots of other watch and jewellery shops like Tiffany and Rolex. They are still fitting out the shop, should open in a week or two.

Agree that the Navitimer is an icon. Almost un-Breitling in appearance in their lineup now is the very tasty SuperOcean Heritage 42. Lowest price of all at just over $3K discounted.

are you kidding me? No gold or diamonds on it!
Breitling has priced me out of their market - I can get a SS Daytona for that!!!!

Either I have to buy used or go get another Rolex.

a little off topic...
The new Planet Oceans have gone insane with their pricing also. When I visited the Omega Boutique here, I got sticker shock. And more shocked that they don't discount a penny. I have a feeling that shop won't be around for long.

if you can get a brand new ss daytona for $9600 go for it. they simply dont sell for that cheap brand new not even close. anywhere. If its a 'grey' dealer than my guess is you can get the B01 for cheaper as well off a 'grey' dealer.

finally? how can you be so sure that the daytona is better than the B01? Both are 'in house' movements. the Rolex 'cache' may make the daytona seem better but many a watch enthusiast would disagree.

I think that's the point to Beitlings new pricing. And as long as they have great manufacturing standards, why should they not move into similar pricing to Rolex? And you get a date function for free!

Breitling is about to open their own boutique in Las Vegas inside the Forum Shops. They are taking over the Chopard location. I see them growing in sales, not going bust. Discounts are available to help increase sales, yet it is unsustainable in the long-term growth, which will hinder the brand's luxury image.

Isn't B. own by some big company group like most of the other brands? Are B. still independent?

Breitling SA is still a private company headquartered in Grenchen, Switzerland. They're not part of Swatch or anything like that.

I have a Chronomat evolution from 2006 - 2 tone w rose gold and blue face.

It is such an incredible watch - it looks amazing and keeps perfect time.

It did get "magnetized" once but I went to their boutique in NYC and the service person took care of it in 1 minute.

I really do not understand why anyone would shop there rather than go to an AD and get a discount.

They hae been giving the 20 percent discount for YEARS. At least the AD where I got mine has been. They wouldn't just open a boutique in NYC recently if they were in trouble.

I was looking a B01 two weeks ago, the guy was pumping up the brand and instantly pulls out a calculator and starts trying to figure out a discount, I think right off the bat he was willing to do 20%. If I was a serious buyer I would have tried for more. But I was not going to play games with him as I was just browsing.
