I don't think it's sizing. It, like most Breitlings, is just a heavy watch and top Heavy being so thick. In order to keep it from shifting, I'd need to wear it tight on the wrist. But like most, I find that very uncomfortable. I think Brightling has some very good looking watches, just too heavy for me. Nature of the beast I guess.

Avenger II line is very nice. They have titanium backs and are quite balanced...

one of my favorite watches the blackbird bigdate is top heavy, so is the DSSD. I Let it shift. Sometimes as they say you have to let it kick.

If you tell them how fast it is per day on your wrist they should be able to regulate it very tight. I have a chronomat that ran at essentially 0 on my wrist, I took great notes then would regulate it myself. One place where rolex is better is shock absorption the ETA style regulator can get knocked out of place.

My Avenger II Seawolf is amazing to me both in looks and how it fits me, balanced on the wrist indeed, plus the deal i got was way better than expected (cheaper than used for brand new from an AD on eBay), so i can't see how they can be a letdown if you like the looks of a certain model and get a good price

Also you (by which i mean people in general) should expect if a watch is more than a little thicker than what you usually wear, that it might very well be too thick and heavy for your personal preference

anybody think a lot of watch people don't even consider Breitling?

Yes, I'm my case my Colt is just too heavy on my wrist. Unfortunately, even though I liked the way it looked in the showroom, it took a while to realise I didn't like the weight of it.

I still think it's a nice looking watch.

If you like Breitling then buy one, if you dont like them dont buy one. I am considering my first breitling because I want a chronograph and they make many different models. I am not concerned about resale and will buy preowned only if I get a great deal. I own a omega and panerai, just want something different.

Breitling is really know as the "chronograph" watch, can't go wrong with most of them IMO

My first luxury watch was the Colt Chronograph. I didn't know too much about watches and brand history etc then. Although I still like it and would never flip it if I had the knowledge I have now I probably would've purchased a Tudor Heritage Chrono instead.

I think their watches are extremely well made and they have solid inhouse movements along with COSC eta based ones. What lets me down is their design unfortunately. They seem to want to release really big watches which i guess is their strategy. Also their marketing leaves alot to be desired also. I wish they would go back to their older stuff and release things like http://professionalwatches.com/uploa...ng-Premier.jpg

But i guess that kind of stuff wont sell to the average breitling buyers.

Not all are blingy

Not all are too busy

Not all are too big

Don't buy them at MSRP

People need to worry less about what others think and do what makes them happy.

I own 2 and love them both.

Agreed

I've owned numerous Breitlings, and tend to stick with Ti models(Seawolf,Black Bird,Aerospace). They're a great product.

Everyone's tastes are different, and people choose what they like.

The Super Ocean Heritage is the only watch they produce that I like.

To me, most of them are just plain ugly and they trade heavily on the aeronautical theme which amuses me somewhat. I also don't believe they are worth anywhere near the prices they retail for.

I just don't see the appeal. Most Seiko's call to me far more.

nothing wrong with Breitling's. They make a good watch. And believe me I have owned quite a few of them. Here is the list:

Super Avenger
Bentley motors T speed
Bentley GT
Bentley GT Ice
Chronomat Evo

All of which are nice watches, however they were just too big for me to pull off. I have sold all except the Evo which was a first year wedding anniversary present from my wife. Interestingly enough it is the smallest dial size of the bunch and this is really pushing it on my wrist.

I love Breitling. When i got my first serious promotion, it was the first brand i went to - ended up with a blue dial Navitimer.

The Transoceans are fantastic as well. Personally, i dont think there are many watches more elegant than a Transocean on Milanese mesh.

Exactly! I don't care for big watches on me, or complications I won't use, or watches I can't read without a program and a magnifying glass. But I can understand the classic appeal of them to many. So....I bought this one.......

41mm - Too big? Too busy? Too complicated? Too hard to read? 50% off retail classic LNIB w/all papers and boxes- Too expensive? Maybe, but it pushes the right buttons for me.

I love how people bash the Breitling for not having inhouse movements. Doesn't one of the most sought after Rolex's have a Zenith movement. Sorry all you owners of Paul
Newman Daytona's, they are now worthless !

That's got a Valjoux movement but your point is essentially correct. Reality is that most mid range chronographs out there in both vintage and new don't really have in house movements. It's always been a silly debate.
