Ding ding ding! Yes, you can see the length of the exposure in the second hand lume trail on the 16710. Almost all the other watches weren’t running.

Thank you both! Unfortunately I traded the 116519 for the AP 15707CE. It was the toughest and easiest trade to make. First time I ever traded a watch with absolutely nothing really negative to say about it. What it came down to was the opportunity to pick up a discontinued watch that is simply not that easy to find. I figured if I didn’t take much to the diver I could always sell it and go back to the daytona, but unfortunately I couldn’t afford to own both!

I am absolutely loving the diver btw. Just incredible!

Thank you! I actually sold the 15400 a couple months back. Again another watch that I absolutely loved, but I was heading into my slow season. Had a couple things pop up that I could use the money for at the time, and frankly it just wasn’t getting wrist time. First sign that it’s time to go.

I had a 3300k LED light bulb dialed down to about 1 percent for the ambient light in the lume shots, combined with an on camera flash aimed at my 8 o’clock for some softer indirect light.

For the shots without the lume, the LED bulb became insignificant and the on camera flash was still banking off the wall behind me but with the power turned up much higher.

I actually don’t normall use a tripod, but I wanted to shoot these images at a really high (small) F-stop, which meant the shutter hard to be open for a while. Non lume shots were about 6/10ths of a second, the lume shot was about a 20 second exposure.

Eggghhhh the question I don’t want to answer

It’s have to be the 116610LV. It’s more of a daily wearer for me than any other watch in the group. It’s been with me through a lot. It was the first Rolex I ever bought myself. It’s a submariner! It can do it all.

2 watch combo would probably be the 116610LV and 116500.

3 watch combo would be the 116610LV, 116500 and 15707CE AP Diver.

Wow Chad, thanks for the gorgeous pics and update to your collection, I remember when you bought the AP a few weeks back I asked you because it seemed you acquired and disposed some....that is quite the collection, wear in good health!! Have you thought of installing a high grade safe in your home??

Thanks so much Nicholas!

Apologies if I didn't get back to you. I tend to put my efforts into shooting, I try to get reply to everyones comments, but sometimes they just get away from me.

So yeah, I have a safe in the house. I keep a smaller group (2-3) there during that rotation. Then I swap out one here and there at the bank.

I also share some watches with my dad, and he's a hardcore collector. So there are a few in the group that are literally never worn. Those obviously do not need to leave the bank. I know, i know! It's taboo around here. Not wear a Rolex!?

That's how he rolls though. He certainly has some hard use wearers, but for the most part he enjoys keeping them mint.

Wonderful collection Chadri, very nicely photographed too.
(I'm even warming to the AP designs!)

I was worried that had been moved on and was going to moan as think it’s one of the best Daytona’s but that’s made way for one of my favourite AP Ce pieces do you are forgiven haha
