When your seiko speaks to you more than your submariner
I’m in one of those moods where the new turtle is more fun to wear than my sub.....

Yeah, that's pretty much a permanent state of mind for me these days.

Well, Rolex Subs in a sense are cold, boring, but a safe piece looks and money-wise.
Seikos are cheap, arguably reliable, and can be had for not a lot of money which adds to the fun factor because 1) you can choose color schemes across the spectrum (almost) and 2) there's more form factors than the lines of text in the Sub's dial (and that's saying a lot) |

My Seikos got much more wrist time than my GMT II, which I got when I should have gotten the sub. Never really bonded with it too much. Love my Seikos!

I am currently enjoying my Seiko's more than my Rolex watches. I still like the Rolex watches but I just have not worn them as much with the current restrictions and staying home more.

I do wear my Seikos more often than my Rolexes. I like the day and date on my watch. The Seikos are more playful, less serious.

My SS Submariner/Date has been in a box for several months now. My Sarb033, and Turtle SRP773 are getting more wrist time.

My sub is special to me in a way that no watch can because it was given to me one Christmas by my now deceased mother and has been on my wrist more days than not over the past 2 decades. That said, Seiko was my first real watch interest. I grew up watching the Arnie movies and wanted that watch, finally got the reissue last year and that has gotten 95% of my wrist time in the past 4 months. I just got a Seiko turtle blue dial and suspect that will be getting wrist time as well.
