I've been wearing mine for two years now, and I've only just turned 20 - as people have said, most don't even know what a Rolex looks like. Wear it with taste, and don't go shouting about it, and you'll be just fine.
If you still don't feel comfortable wearing it, send it to me, I'll wear it for you! |

Dear Thread Starter,
Would you kindly answer some of my questions. 1.) Who did the watch originally belong to? 2.) Can you provide a picture? 3.) How do you know if it's authentic/genuine? 4.) If the Sub is indeed being passed down, I would assume the watch isn't brand new so I'd be interested in knowing model no. and the history behind it. I like this stuff; knowing the history of the watch for yourself and future beneficiaries, it's part of the allure of Rolex Submariner et al. I purchased my first and only Rolex Sub 'V" full well knowing the SubC was on it's way to ADs but I loved the history behind the watch, the timeless nature and its ability to last so that I could one day pass down to children of my own or family. Thanks for answering the questions and very much would appreciate a picture as well! Jeremy |

Who cares what they think. I'm 24, and bought my first rolex (16610) just recently. Wear it proud every single day

Strangely enough two weeks ago I told my almost 19 y/o son that I was planning to give him my 1991 Thunderbird TT. He knows that it was an expensive watch and that I valued it. He was honest enough to tell me he wasn't ready for it but that he would make sure to tell me when he is ready to wear the watch. He hardly wears a watch now and will be a soph in college this school year (Nursing). Wear your watch with pride and don't worry what anyone else thinks.
