Rolex Collection

I’m at that weird stage where you either keep growing the watch collection, or you dwindle down to a couple of staples – either Rolex, AP or PP.
In order left to right:
2022 Oyster Perpetual 124300
2021 Explorer II 216570
2019 Submariner 116613
2023 Daytona 116503
2023 Yachtmaster 126655
1976 Day Date 1803 w/ Matte Black Pie Pan Dial

Keep the Daytona and sell all others for a DD 40

What's wrong with keeping the status quo?

I dig the collection! Does the 1976 DD have special meaning? Like a birth year piece or one that was passed down to you?

If you were consolidating what would be on your wish list? Any big grail you’re chasing?

You’ve got a great collection
You could easily stay where you are or consolidate down and add some now rolex too.
Here are my main four:

Agreed that we’d need more answers to the above…

I’d also add that it would be good to hear what you like best about your current collection and why you picked each watch.

That would give a much better perspective…if not, answers are going to be total random thoughts from everyone..which may not be much help.

Keep the top row, and trade the bottom row for a grail! My 2 cents, based on what I like in your collection, and what I think is just O. K.
How about that beautiful blue Dial WG Daytona, as a 4th watch?

I wish the 1803 had a more sentimental story to along with owning. Purchased in NYC cause I was looking for a vintage pie pan dial and the matte black ones are hard to come by. Got it serviced by Rolex post purchase. The bracelet isn’t original to the watch - I believe from the markings it’s from ‘94. The EXP2 I love but 42mm is a big for my wrist (7.25”). The Daytona and YM were bought from an AD this year (only 2 from AD). I really would like a Pepsi on a jubilee at some point but also looking at PP 5968G/5164A Aquanaut. It’s that situation in a collection of ‘less is more’ and they are all (personal) bangers or more is more is kind of where I’m mentally. You know, if you only had 3 watches, what would they be?!

I actually like all of your collection but I get what you’re trying to achieve. I’d probably move along the OP and Ex2 bringing it down to 4 for now and get on the list for a Pepsi. Once the Pepsi comes in, you’ll be up to 5 and can reassess from there.

The likelihood of getting the aquanaut anytime soon is pretty unlikely unless you’ve got a connection in place already. Once that came in, I’d swap out the YM2 for it. From there, you can reassess once again.

What I definitely wouldn’t do is a mass exodus all at once….take it slow. You’ve actually got a pretty diverse little collection there.

You need to decide whether you are a collector with watches locked away and not worn or have a smaller number (3-4 ?) which all get a lot of wrist time. Personally I’m a 3-4 person.

I would keep either the sub or YM and either the OP or the Explorer and sell the other 2 and get down to four.

I think it's time to move to another brand and start a new watch box...your Rolex collection is pretty much set

I would look into start collecting brands from the holy trinity of your liking
