Red Wing #1911 are the only 3 pairs of boots I have owned in my 52 yrs. my first pair was resoled 5 times. Finally they just could not be resoled. Rest in peace my good friends. Love the fine quality of Red Wing. Gladly pay $200 plus for a pair of good old American made than made need I mention the country and sold mainly at Walmarts.

Ordered my latest pair of cordovans from Brooks Brothers. They're a pair of Rancourt Cordovan Boat shoes. They finally had them in my size and at 30% off that was pretty hard to pass up. It can be pretty hard to find anything in Cordovan for that price.

I wore Alden shell cordovans for many years in high school and college. (late 60's early 70's). Penny loafers and various other styles. Transitioned to Gucci loafers and never looked back.
