Can you teach me how to shoot one down?

I've got to make it to that show one of these years. They always run a news feature on each year's show and it would be cool to get a in-person glimpse at the latest toys.

Hey Paul, do you have an opinion on this particular drone? Friend of mine buying one. How does it stack up, in your professional opinion?

Flew that one for the first time a few weeks ago Daniel, absolutely LOVE it! It is the most stable bird DJI has ever created. Now... when I say it's a tremendous drone, I am talking about one for fun, not necessarily a commercial use. It doesn't have the power (able to fly in wind gusts, at higher altitudes and carry more weight for a better camera) to really cut it in the commercial grade drone category. For that type application, I would reccomend at a minimum one level higher, the Phantom 4 series. Or even going up a notch to the Inspire or the brand new 5000 series. The Mav is around $1,000 and DJI keeps saying they will be available "soon." We are the national distributor and we only have ONE! So not sure when they will be out on the street or what prie point, but if all he is looking for is fun, small, easy to fly, stable and just over-all "COOL" drone, the Mav is by far best in the industry The closest competitor would be the Yuneec "Breeze", which is about the same size and features, and a nice bird, but doesn't compare to that Mav

I'll be flying the Mav for the next four days in demonstrations here at the show

Paul, do you race? I've seen a couple of indoor drone races on TV recently and it looks really intense. These guys are weaving in and out of obstacles at pretty good speed not to mention flying wheel to wheel so to speak. They have some serious piloting skills. I doubt I'd be very good just based on my experience with RC cars and joy sticks. I can't think backwards or in reverse - I'm always turning the wrong way, lol!

Dang, just seeing this now. Was in Vegas from early Wednesday morning until Saturday morning. Had to entertain a couple future clients while they were attending CES. Was so exhausted from that and a couple of late night gambling sessions, that I never even made it to the show. If I had known the legendary Paul was going to be there, I would've dragged myself over there for that alone.
