ADMIN Question

Why do some of my posts go straight onto the forum, and some require approval before posting?

Thanks

Move out of the Rolex discussion section......?

To answer. All new members posts are vetted for approval by the forum software. It's only temporary, and is for good reason. It helps weed out those who come here to troll, spam, from those who are here for genuine reasons.

Thanks, but the reason I asked was that some of my posts/responses are up instantly, and some say they need to wait for approval.

As I said, the forum software flags new members posts. It doesn't stop all, but will block at random due to both keywords, and post count.

I posted a thread yesterday and it wasn't approved by the forums moderator. Seems pointless putting it on now but I posted it on another watch forumn website and helped some other users find an available BLNR. My post was for genuine reasons but didn't end up getting posted and presumably has since been vetted by a moderator

You are still in "newbie mode" and the forum SOFTWARE is selecting posts for moderator referral; as has been said twice.

This will stop in due course.

Correct, your post was not approved as it rode a fine line of sales, to which we have no way of knowing if it's good or bad. Regardless of your good intention! For all we know it could be an attempted scam, and that is why we have strict rules regarding sales, offering of sales, all of which need to posted in the classifieds. If you were a longtime established member, the benefit of the doubt may have been given to your post, however, being as you are a new member it was decided against allowing it.
So, in the interest of our members, it was not approved.

I'm happy you were able to go elsewhere and post it without issue, and was able to clear your conscience of a watch you agreed to purchase, then backed out at the last minute...
