Have any of you guys been able to get a discount from an AD on a new Rolex? If so, what percentage off did you get. Appreciate the intel!

15% on a 114060 no-date Sub. I told them what I was willing to pay which reflected this amount, and he shrugged and said "sure, it's been sitting here in the case for 3 months; people only buy the date version."

Worth a try

I find that hard to believe. Lond waiting list for both in the UK. Although I realize that the Submariner Date is more popular, generally. Tends to be the wis type that go for the Submariner.

Remember the US market is totally different.

They have BLNRs and D-Blue sitting around in ADs and discount the hell out of steel sports models, according to most posts on here.

Yes, good point. Wish it was the same in the UK.

for steel models is hard to get a big discount

A lot of us have long established relationships with our ADs so it is going to be an unfair expectation to receive a discount close to the ones some members get here.

Exactly. I do get a (small) discount buying from my AD, but I have bought several (depending on your definition of "several" I guess, the actual number is four) Rolexes there over the past eight years. A guy walking in off the street could only expect a discount on a popular model if they were buying more then one at a time.

Welcome aboard.

It will depend on the AD and on the model you are purchasing.

x2. All depends on the AD, the model and your relationship with them.

I got a decent amount off my first dealings with the AD (£600) but it depends on the right place at the right time, it was a Bluesy BTW.

Shop around, Goldsmiths wouldn't reduce anything and for that reason, i'll not shop there again.

Don't go the grey route, I've now got an issue with mine that won't cause me to much stress as I can go to RSC.

Nope that's about right, I just bought a new sub and out the door price was around 15 percent off. Just depends I guess if the AD wants to work with you.

It depends on the location, region, AD, model, negotiating skills, even time of year. (December is bad) I've always gotten 12-18 percent.

Got 5% off a new 2016 Explorer 1 without even asking. Used my CC (2% cash back) and my state has no sales tax.

In France, I have just experienced the following.
0 discount on the BLNR...
11% on YM dark rhodium
But some ADs in big cities (i.e. Lyon is big ) will also say 0% on the YM, if you're "unknown" because the demand is there....

Depends on the AD, stock, geographic area, volume of purchases by client, metal of the watch (SS, YG etc). There is no universal rule as to what is the norm for discounts though. To answer your question I have witnessed 10 on SS and 21 on TT models.
