if you are sure you don't want the second hand, then I would say the 112,it has the display back and a simple face, some like the logo, less is more for me on a Pam.

I like both...and it depends what else you plan to include in your PAM collection (eventually). You might want to get the zero for the painted dial and later on include a sandwich dial in your mix.

You could do a E, F or G 112. Then you get a painted dial and a display back.

no logo however.

^hmmm. good to know. So serials that start with E, F, G still have the painted dials? How come the newer serial numbers cost more?

Newer watch IMO, Chach... Furthermore, many prefer sandwich dials.

I know I do!

I walked into Panerai reseller store checking out the Pam 111 because i wanted a display caseback. Compared a pam 0, pam 5, pam 112 and pam 111. I don't think i will ever want a pam 111 or pam 112. Something about that logo makes Panerai an amazing watch. I even compared those logos with a Pam 312 and still prefers the logo. If i want a display caseback, i would go for a 372.

I'm thinking about getting one as well and if you have the opportunity to see them both in person, definitely do it. They both have clean, simple dials, but I thought the 112 looked better in person. The sandwich dial is awesome and it has more of a "historic" look in my opinion. The display caseback is a nice feature as well.

However... it seems like you cannot go wrong with either one. Both are great!

I love the Pam 001 the best for me, but if you really want something different, how about a totally custom hand painted dial? I think it just awesome and a one of a kind!

Not too sure about the logo on the original Panerai watches.

Then again, there were Rolex movement inside the original Panerai watches..... So the ETA and P movement aren't "that" original

I like them both. That said the 000 wins for me. Logo, fewer made, and lower price win out for me.

if its your only PAM, go with 112

otherwise, 000 then get something else for the sandwich dial :)

i'd say the 000 (maybe since i'm a bit biased!) the painted dial and logo give it a more vintage feel IMO. i like the sandwich dial on the more contemporary models such as the 312 (again, i'm biased there too!). go with what love more and you can't go wrong with that!

I had a painted 112 and really liked it a lot...but always preferred the logo dial on this particular iteration...go with the 000....you won't be disappointed.
