Icon20 Small Problem Big Aggravation - bracelets and Endlinks

Wanted to try and resolve this pretty quickly.

Would a newer 91350 (with the slightly wedged link that goes into the endlink) with 501B endlinks fit on a 1680.

I've been trying for about an hour and just can't get it to fit correctly and I'm reluctant to force anything.

Would be grateful for some help with pics if you've got them.

Thanks in advance guys

Could you just file or tweak a set of end links?

Small expense and won't effect the watch.

Michael I have had the same problem with 501B's in the past when trying to put them on a late 70's 5513. In my opinion, they can be kind of hit/miss when trying to put them on a vintage sub. The 580's are less problematic.

Thank you as always guys.

I decided to take some pictures to better explain the issue, I'm having. It seems to be the last link that goes into the end link that is driving me nuts. I've worked out that early 91350's had slightly different last links to the later ones. Take a look at the images and let me know what you think.

Going through this myself, i've had to buy 2 580 end links for my 95310 bracelt to fit my 1860 red as the 501b will not fit properly at all!

Can we see some pics if it mounted on the watch to understand the "flat" problem. The endlinks with the groove were to make the stretch less of a problem at the endlink. Kinda like a SEL look.

I have several 95130 bracelets (one was brand new 3 years ago) and they all have 580 end pieces. I've never noticed the different centre end links but presumably because none have 501b's the fit has always been ok.
I'll check the centre links when I get chance.... I'm learning something new every day thanks to you guys!

Been down this road several times. The bottom line: 580s for Plexi Subs, 501s for sapphire Subs. I learned this the hard way and mangled some end pieces.

I would visit your local authorized dealer and have them order you a set of 580s. They are readily available from Rolex.

That's right and about half the price of normal third party asking prices.

Couldn't be the diameter of the spring bars that causes the issue could it??

I have your answer:
I'm not too proud to admit that I didn't even notice my 4 year old 93150 bracelet had a different (grooved) centre end link to the others I have ... that with 580's fits my Red Sub perfectly!

Just spoke to my local RSC (that just happens to be walking distance from my front door) and they have 580 endlinks in stock and will charge me 114 Euros ($135) for the pair. Only caveat, I need to bring my watch and bracelet and they will fit them, which is fine.

I would never have known that they were available from Rolex if it wasn't for you guys

Well done (Storky) for sorting ML out,

I have learnt something new today "again".

What I do know is as was mentioned above Rolex parts/service dept are actually great for parts a pair off 585els on vrf are $350 or £92 from St James.

But as mentioned they like the watch brought in and they won't post out parts either unless you have a Account and verified Rolex Tech .

Justin your AD screwed you. Last time I bought a pair they were $50 a piece and an AD will typically charge a small up charge but not THAT much. I paid $130 with tax for both.

Keep in mind that for the super, super picky of watch collectors that the new 580 end links are just ever so slightly different than the vintage versions. I've had both. The font of the "580" is thicker and deeper on the older versions. Doesn't really matter, unless you're a little nutty, which some of us are, of course. If I could choose, I'd take an older pair.

I've noticed that the newer end pieces are a little different too.
I've just fitted some 585's (probably modern) to a DRSD case and they were a REALLY tight fit! Better like that than flopping around I guess.

my newer 93150 had 380 end links, and they fit fine on the 55513.

For one, the 280 is not fixed to the bracelet, 380 is.
