Interesting Film

Hello TRF people,

Last year I watched a film on Netflix (looks to be there still) called 'The Watchmakers Apprentice'.

It's the fascinating, and very heart-warming story of a chap called George Daniels and the young apprentice he took on.

If you don't know about George Daniels and this seems of interest to you then you're in for a treat. As a quick reference, Daniels essentially put horology on the map and produced many movements for some of the biggest watch houses out there.

Incidentally, a friend of mine actually collects Breguet and has many. Additionally, he also has a timepiece previously owned by Daniels himself, which is amazing.

Anyway, as a stocking filler this Christmas, my wife bought me the collectors edition DVD for it - comes with an extra disc, more special features and also booklets etc. Am watching it now, in fact.

Here is a trailer https://youtu.be/NUNKHXj0K8Q

Sorry for the terrible quality images on this one.

I found it by chance a few months ago. Its certainty well worth viewing.
